On March 9, we had a “Favorite Movie/Story Character Day.” This was by far my favorite day in terms of creativity. I thought that Monster Day was creative…but this one took the cake. 🙂 We had characters from Harry Potter, Charlotte’s Web, and many others. There was Belle from Beauty and the Beast. We had Moana, Maui and the rooster from Moana. There was Eggs from Boxtrolls, Cinder from The Lunar Chronicles, and Tigger from Winnie the Pooh. I came as the little boy on the trike that says “That was TOTALLY WICKED” in The Incredibles. It was a fun theme to do, and it gave me some great costume ideas for my boys in the future. 🙂

On March 16, we had “PJ-Day.” Some of my students have been asking to do this one since last year, and the two students not as excited to do this weren’t there so we figured it would be the perfect day to come to school in comfy pajamas. In order to make the best costume I could, I had to raid Benjamin’s stuffed animals and blankets. Let’s just say he wasn’t happy that I was borrowing his stuffed dog and blanket. (It is the blanket his Great-Grandma Woltjer made him when he was born.) After seeing everyone else wearing their cute pajamas, I think I need to find some fun pajamas. It was a good end to Spirit Month. Everyone had a fun time, and it was a great way to interact with the elementary students.
