One of the highlights of being a part of a hospital ministry is the chance to participate in Hospital Evangelism throughout the year. This month our group was in charge of the program. This means picking and leading songs, sharing scripture and a devotional, and reminding people when/where to show up. Lukas volunteered to lead the devotional in Tok Pisin on the theme of Christ’s crucifixion and resurrection. He had to repeat the devotional in the four wards of the hospital. He felt led to show the patients and their families why this theme is central to our faith and important to us today. It was definitely a challenge to prepare such a deep topic in Tok Pisin, but also a good reminder for Lukas about the amazing sacrifice Christ gave for us. Below is a picture taken of Lukas sharing about God’s amazing gift to us. We love that on every ward there is a sign by the nurses station that says: “We treat and Jesus heals.” This is the ministry YOU are partnering with.
